Subagents research, the main session edits

Subagents are great for parallel exploration: each searches a corner of the repository and returns only the result. But if each one edits files itself, several simultaneous edits land on top of each other.

The rule

A subagent researches and never edits, tests or commits; those are the main session’s job. The main session is the only place that holds the whole picture of a change.

Skills for repeated work

Work done again and again, such as building an admin screen or a complete demo for a business, has its own skill: instructions loaded only when needed.
