From cPanel to Docker Swarm: nineteen years of keeping servers up
۱۴۰۵/۵/۲۶1 min read0 views

I started in 2007 running hosting servers: cPanel, Plesk and DirectAdmin, and later virtualisation with VMware ESXi, KVM and Proxmox at Esfahan Web.
What changed
Today every commit builds an immutable image that goes to staging first, and the same image reaches production. Docker Swarm, Grafana and Prometheus replaced hand-run scripts.
What did not
A server must be monitored, a backup must be tested, and whoever writes the code should know where it runs.
